Drooling over the beautiful pictures of the garden of ‘S-Gravenwezel Castle, that Axel Vervoordt recently posted on his Instagram page, reminded me of our annual visit to the castle.

Although I shared with you before, many pictures of the Axel and May Vervoordt’s castle and its garden, today I wanted to come back with some of my favourite ones.

These pictures were all taken in a sunny month of May, yet a few years ago.

Enjoy!

The entrance of ‘S-Gravenwezel Castle.

Lots of huge Rhododendron bushes around the castle.

I just can’t get enough of the gorgeous Wisteria covered orangery.

Feels like being somewhere in Tuscany.

Love the arched windows.

One of the huge boxwood balls at the entrance of the orangery.

Wherever you walk around the castle, there is always something surprising to discover.

Beautiful shaped and lined boxwood.

A part of the gorgeous vegetable garden.

A view from inside the orangery towards the pool.

The pool surrounded by beautiful shaped hedges acting as privacy screens.

Throughout the garden there are places to relax…

…or to dine al fresco.

Terrace in front of the castle’s entrance, with a view towards the extended garden.

A lonely goose seeking refreshment in the castle’s pond.

View from the balcony.

The garden of ‘S-Gravenwezel Castle is created by Wirtz Landscape Architects, one of the most talented and influential landscape designers in Europe.

All above pictures by me

Wishing you all a wonderful and sunny weekend !
