Dear readers and friends,
Nine years ago today, I published my first blogpost! It may have been 9 years today, but it feels like only yesterday when writing that very first article on July 31, 2009.
I haven’t had a single moment of regret since starting my blog. So many interesting people I’ve learned to know, so many friends from around the world I’ve made and so many wonderful things that have happened since that first post, for which I am so very grateful!

It feels so very good to receive, even today, emails from readers, telling me they love my blog, appreciating all the work I do in writing my posts. Your kind words mean a lot to me! I feel grateful and blessed to be appreciated as a blogger and to know that my blog has found its way into the interior design blogging community.

I am also very thankful to so many colleague bloggers for having taken the time to write about Belgian Pearls and to introduce my blog to their readers and friends!
Thank you my friends!
I have to tell you that I am never looking at my blog’s stats or ranking pages. The reason why I am blogging is to enjoy writing, to share my passion for design and decorating, and to hopefully inspire you. I am not blogging to be awarded, but of course, it is always nice to notice that you receive an award because of your readers’ choice.
I never would have thought that, for three years in a row, Belgian Pearls would made it onto the shortlist of the prestigious Amara Interior Blog Awards (you can still nominate my blog for this year’s Amara Awards here – nominations close tomorrow Wednesday August 1 !)
And I am also very proud to share with you that a few days ago I’ve got a message from Feedspot, – the online platform where you can read all your favorite websites and blogs in one place -, announcing that Belgian Pearls had been selected by their panelists as one of the Top 40 European Interior Design Blogs on the web. Again I feel very grateful for this award!

I am so thankful to all Belgian Pearls followers (architects, interior designers and private people), from Belgium and abroad, who became customers of our company Lefèvre Interiors and who entrusted me with the design of their projects. Most of them became friends for life!
A small selection of home projects I designed for Belgian Pearls’ followers who became customers of our company Lefèvre Interiors, since I started blogging.
I felt so very honoured, when in 2013, Pamela Pierce, founder and chief editor of MILIEU, the prestigious interior design & lifestyle magazine, asked me to join her team as contributing editor to the magazine!
I will never forget the many words of comfort I received from you at the loss of our beloved pup Ralph in October 2013. One of my readers even sent me a gorgeous handpainted watercolour she made of Ralph! Incredible!

I never would have imagined that 9 years after my first Belgian Pearls’ blogpost, I was going to launch my own furniture line, the Belgian Pearls Home Collection!
So many of you my dear followers, asked me when finally I would ever bring my own collection and encouraged me to do!

Thank you my loyal friends and followers for your everlasting support and encouragement!
Without you, Belgian Pearls would serve no purpose!
Thank you so much!
Here’s to another year of Belgian Pearls. I do hope to continue to inspire you!
Can it really be 9 years!?! That means it will also be 9 years blogging for me in a few months – oh, my! I am so grateful to have discovered Belgian Pearls at the beginning of your lovely journey. You have introduced all of us to some of the most beautiful designs, art, and inspiration – your content is always so helpful. It’s your effervescent spirit that keeps us returning to Belgian Pearls and remaining ever engaged…that spirit of kindness comes through your words and all of the white space in between them. Thank you for your time, energy, and curation of lovely, Greet. Congratulations on this milestone!
You are amazing and have inspired me!
