This is the first page of my brand new blog! Finally…

I have to give away that I am pretty excited starting up this blog.

I would like to thank my 13-years old son for assisting me with this (for me not so easy) job.

Please, I’ll ask you my apologies for my sometimes incorrect written English.

I promise to do the best I can to express myself in English (my native language is Dutch).

As I am writing this first post in the middle of our summer break, I would like to write about the things that keep me busy these days.

We will not travel this summer, right now we are enjoying our home and the beautiful region we’re living in!
We have a lot of things to do in and around the house and my husband just started to build a small garden house.

So in the mean time, we love to invite some friends and family to join us for a drink or a meal.
That envolves a good table decoration, don’t you think?

So at first, I would love to share with you some pictures of my table decoration…

Did you notice the grape vine-leaf decoration?

Well, I’m proud to say that we have our own grape-vine in our garden.
After a few years in a small planter, only 2 years ago, we planted the vine against the wall of our orangery, and look at it now! Doesn’t it look gorgeous?!

There are a lot of bunches of grapes to see. So I hope to eat them within a few weeks. I will tell you!

Another favorite activity during summer holidays is joining summer parties!

A few weeks ago, we went to a party at my sister’s home, spending a wonderful day!
Here are some pictures of the party!

As since 2 years we moved into our new built home, this year we absolutely wanted to start the garden landscaping.

As I already mentioned, this week my husband started building our garden house.
This is a picture of the oak construction so far.

So with this first post I wanted to tell you about all things that keep me and my family busy during these summer holidays.
Hope you enjoyed it.
As I am an interior designer, I can’t wait to tell you more about Belgian design style and all things interior design related.

Talk to you soon!
