“King Winter” is ruling over Belgium at this moment! This weekend he treated us again with lots of snow! I know, I know,.. a lot of traffic misery… but on the other hand, gorgeous picturesque scenery!
We were fortunate to be at home this weekend and enjoyed winter time mostly from inside the house.
We tried to hang some Christmas decoration around the house, but we didn’t atteint that far.
Yesterday afternoon we went Christmas “snow” shopping. In Belgium, this time of the year, shops are open on Sundays.
I want to share with you some pictures I took this weekend from inside our home.
Again the outbuilding and surrounded garden.
Do you see the whirling snowflakes?
Here on below you can see the Christmas wreaths we hung at the balcony fence and at the entrance gate.
The wreaths are covered with snow! You can hardly see them.
Last week I decorated inside the house.
Here you can see the Christmas decoration in our orangerie.
This year our Christmas tree is standing in the living room.
xx
Mooie versieringen,
veel plezier en
als je de baan niet op moet,
blijf lekker binnen !

And warm Christmas greetings to you too Greet!
Your gardens look beautiful covered in snow and your orangerie looks lovely in its Christmas decorations. Your Christmas tree is grand!
Thank you for sharing all those wonderful images.
Take care, Laura
The warmest Christmas greetings to you too Greet and may the day bring you lots of love, laughter and joy.
I love the snow scenes from your home…we had snow last night and today in the alps … unfortunately we are in the middle of Summer!!!!
Perhaps we too might have a white Christmas!!!
xx Julienne
HI Greet
I see that you have the same snow in Belgium as we do in Normandy – all very beautiful but worrying when you haven't finished your christmas shopping – as is my case!!
I love the way your formal parterre looks so chic in the snow. Must be the garden design that looks the best through the seasons.
A very Happy Christmas to you and your family and all the best for a fun and successful 2011.

Greet – I love everything about this post – the beautiful snowy shots at your home, your beautiful tree and all the lovely "warm" interiors. A treat for the eyes this morning. And btw – I love your business sign.
Hi Greet,
I think I better get over there and show you all how Canadians dig their way out of a snowstorm. It's lovely to keep it untouched though and it looks like a movie set. Beautiful warm and cosy holiday post. Happy Holidays Greet to you and your fmaily. Much love XO
Wow! What a post! You know what is missing? A cup of cocoa! 🙂
About two days ago I was looking around you blog to find some of your own Christmas images for today's post and I saw how beautiful your house is. Greet, it show how much you love your space. It's so beautiful! Congratulations!
I also want to say that I'm very grateful you liked my post today. I honestly appreciate knowing you.
Have a blessed Christmas!

I love your Christmas card Greet and all your holiday decorating! Isn't the snow pretty? It's snowing here too and I love it. Love the images with all the red and orange colors, my favorite.
Hello Greet,
Beautiful pictures of the snow… Oh! It looks cold!!! But, in contrast inside looks comfy and warm!
Keep warm in this holiday season!!!
Renata Gross
Oh, I love white walls but I love these coral-colored walls you have shown too. So cozy!
Merry Christmas,
Deborah
Hallo Greet, ook bij ons ligt een laag sneeuw, mooie plaatjes levert het op. Je huis ziet er prachtig en statig uit zo in de sneeuw.
Oh Greet, your home looks so lovely with all the snow! Are you snowed in? My son got stranded in Italy, but I'm pretty sure he is finally on his way home. Snow during the holidays sounds so romantic, until you need to fly somewhere!
I love the warm images–each one more beautiful than the next.
Stay warm and have a lovely holiday with your family!
~Delores
Merry Christmas Greet! The snow is absolutely beautiful outside your windows. Love how it looks on the lawn furniture. Phoenix is having a very mild Christmas. We went caroling last night and didn't need a jacket just a light sweater. I really like the white apples on your mantle – very classic! ~Linda
Greet,
That is the most beautiful snow I've ever seen. It really takes my breath away. I hope you have the Merriest Christmas ever!
Merry Christmas to you, Greet! The photographs are absolutely stunning! Thank you for sharing the snow with us.

Het heeft toch wel iets dat maagdelijk wit ik kan er elke keer weer met volle teugen van genieten. Nu maar hopen dat we een laagje sneeuw overhouden voor Kerstmis. Prachtige foto's van je tuin.

Like a Christmas card, your images are stunning and perfect for this winter time….and your house elegant and cosy dressed for the holidays.
My best wishes for this Christmas for you and your family.
Have some days full of love, Joy and Hapiness
Hugs

The images of your house are just gorgeous and magical, nothing better than fresh snow before Christmas, as long as it does not last for long…my friends and family in Italy also tell me about cold and snow and blocked highways, no snow here so far, raining in Vancouver at the moment!
Merry Christmas Greet, to you and your family
Greet,
The exterior photos blanketed in snow are simply magical! I love your tree dressed in gold too. Warmest wishes for a fabulous holiday!!!
~Rebecca
Oh yes they are so warm and beautiful – just like you! x
I loved the pictures from your home the most. It is simply a wonderful place and I can feel the good energy all the way to Sydney.
Greet, it is such a delight to come here every time and I have enjoyed all your posts this year! I look forward to many more next year and wish you & the family a Merry Christmas!
Hope 2011 will be a great year for you and your family. With our return to Europe during Summer, perhaps it will be the year when our sons get to play and you and I finally get to meet.
Big hugs
xx Charlotta
Hello dearest Greet,
Your home and the outdoors around it look so beautiful with the snow piling up. We have been hearing reports on the news about the Winter storm bearing down upon Europe. I hope it hasn't messed up any of your holiday plans.
Your tree is so beautiful, you have impeccable taste, my friend. Your home looks warm and comfortably welcoming.
I enjoyed seeing all of the warm interiors, I am not crazy about orange, but I have been seeing plenty of it around blog land.
My favorite of all of the images, is Scot Meacham Wood's red plaid walls and smaller plaid chair. That is really nice, especially with the artwork of the vintage race cars above the desk! Very NICE!!! I would love to have some ideas on how to decorate in a more masculine fashion. My husband really does not enjoy feminine decor and I tend to be too much so for him. Books and wood is about all I can come up with.
Have a beautiful day and I pray you and yours will have a healthy and happy Christmas and many sweet blessings in 2011.
Love and hugs, Cindy
Dear Greet,I have just been enjyoing those images again .Your home and decor is a reflection of you -beautiful. I wish you and your family the happiest of times together over the coming days

Your beautiful photos bring memories of when I lived in Massachusetts and the picture perfect snow scenes we experienced there…
Terri
Hi Dear Greet
