Currently working on moodboards

I am currently working on moodboards for upcoming projects and I thought it could be a great idea to share some of these boards with you.

Creating moodboards is one of the finest parts of my job, feeling completely immersed in the preparation of a new project. However, it actually is much more difficult than it seems. Sometimes I have to start from scratch and have to try to visualize the furnishing and decoration of the future room or the home to be built, of which only base plans are yet available, and sometimes even without basic, existing elements or furniture. I consider it my personal challenge.

Experience teaches me that these moodboards are very useful tools in the presentation of a project to a client. The creation of these boards is a very effective way to share the design you clearly have in mind. A moodboard (type of collage consisting of images, text, and samples of objects, materials and textures, in a composition) enables a client to see the design direction you are moving towards.

Creating this moodboard I had to take into account that our client wanted to keep the existing chimney, even he suggested to come up with a more contemporary room lay out, to display his collection of Asian artifacts.

For this upcoming project it is important to find the exact style, mouldings and paint colour for the panelling, as it has to match with the aligned rooms, forming an enfilade.
