Hotel Van Cleef, with its prime location in the most desirable part of Bruges, opened its doors in June 2015.
The over 700 years old Italianate mansion has a history going back to the medieval Van Cleef family and has been called home to the various Counts and Dukes of the Van Cleef dynasty.
The main building has its origin in the 18th century and from the moment you enter the hallway, you still feel its neoclassical grandeur.
Today The Van Cleef mansion is transformed into a small luxury boutique hotel where modern touches are weaved with classic style.
The current owners, Frederik and Pascale Vanhaecke and their son Arnaud, run the hotel as a private residence, exclusively open to hotel-guests or – upon reservation – even to non-guests for breakfast and afternoon tea.
Even though the hotel only opened his doors in June 2015, in that same year it already received the Belgian Hospitality Award for “Best Hotel Concept”.
The hotel is decorated by Pascale Vanhaecke, the owner herself, assisted by her son Arnaud. All of the hotel’s spaces and rooms are decorated in a very elegant and comfortable style with a mix of modern, vintage and antique furnnishings. Throughout the hotel, guests will notice the most fabulous fabrics and wallpapers, as Pascale does have a keen eye for fabric and wallpaper design.
