Modern bathroom design meets traditional panelling

Earlier this year I posted about fashion and furniture brands that love to use panelling as the ultimate and glamorous backdrop giving their products the unique look they deserve. See this post here. Today I noticed that even international leading companies manufacturing sanitary ware do love to present their modern designed bathtubs and washbasins in classic designed rooms and therefore often bring in their collection in traditional panelled rooms, in order to make a statement.

Even nowadays interior designers aren’t afraid to integrate a modern designed bathtub or washbasin into their classic designed bathroom.

Villeroy & Boch presents their octagon washbasin and squaro prestige bath in a panelled room. The exquisite design and the dark finish of both signature pieces complement well with the tobacco stained wood panelling.

I have always loved the way Belgian designer Lionel Jadot combined the contemporary design of this bathroom with these traditional and carved panelling pieces.

In her New Orleans home, interior designer Tara Shaw surrounded the contemporary bathtub with antique wall panelling she found in the South of France.

Another impressive setting to see at Villeroy & Boch. A gorgeous 18thC. panelled chateau room as backdrop for the Swarovski crystal studded squaro prestige bathtub and octagon washbasin.
