Floral arrangements that enrich the soul

My dearest friends,

I hope that you all enjoy this summer time, the perfect time to slow down and to relax. I absolutely love this time of the year, and as the weather gods are spoiling us with gorgeous summer temperatures here in Belgium, I so enjoy spending time in our garden. And every morning and evening, I love to walk along our garden path to smell and to admire the beauty of our garden flowers.

Those of you who follow my blog for some time, and knowing me yet a little bit better, will have noticed that I love flowers and that I can’t live without them. Flowers enrich the soul and bring colour into life.

As Christian Dior once said : “After women, flowers are the most lovely thing God has given the world.”

Browsing through the internet and through social media, I discover the most beautiful pictures of flowers and floral arrangements, that inspire me to decorate our home with.

A while ago I came across the most gorgeous Instagram page of Shoko Kondo, a Japanese flower and plant decorator. I was perplex and couldn’t leave this page anymore that evening.

Shoko Kondo does know as no other how to create the most beautiful floral arrangements. Each of her decorations are wonderful stills, real works of art. I just love the simplicity of them.

This decorator combines flowers and plants in a very simple and easy way, often adding pieces of fruit.

I really had to share this with you and that is why I would love to introduce you today to the gorgeous works of art by Shoko Kondo.

No much more words needed! I do hope that Shoko’s creations enrich your soul as much as they enrich mine!
