Elegant and refined Paris apartment by Guillaume Alan

When I came across the article with gorgeous photography of a very chic Paris’ apartment on the website of Architectural Digest, I was just thrilled and impressed by the elegance of its interior and of the striking white flowing into the apartment. I couldn’t resist to watch over and over again these beautiful pictures of a project by French designer Guillaume Alan.

What a sophistication and serenity this apartment is exuding!! Absolutely gorgeous!

Guillaume Alan has given this apartment – that is perched in a 19th-century Haussmannian building – a striking but sophisticated interior, exuding serenity and restraint.

The rich textures and materials the designer brought in are all well-considered and add depth and warmth to the monochromatic tones of all rooms.

The living room shows sofas and seats of the designer’s own collection.

Notice that antique bronze pendant as the only ceiling light fixture in the living room.

The dining room features chairs inspired by vintage Chinese armchairs and a Corian-topped table. A Chinese Han dynasty jar on top.

Light gray brushed-oak floors seen throughout the apartment.

I love the surprising effect of the vaulted ceiling that one never would expect in a 19th-century Haussmannian apartment.

The orangery of the Château de Versailles inspired Guillaume Alan to create a series of high-ceiling arches in a natural stone color. Gorgeous!

Again here in the kitchen, the Chinese inspired armchairs. Carrara marble as kitchen sinks backsplash and as chair rail.

Monochromatic tones prolonged in the master suite. Rich textures as of the bed linens and linen rug add warmth to the room.

Pivot doors in a brushed-ash finish towards the bathroom.

The apartment looks eerily calm and monochromatic at the same time, minimalistic. Only one word to say, Perfect 🙂
