Creating mood boards

Dear readers,

As I am actually absorbed in my design work, I decided to share with you today some of the projects that I am working on and that kept me busy the past weeks.

And what is better than showing you a few mood boards that I created of these projects and of which I try to put my heart and soul into.

I do know from experience that mood boards are, in addition to design plans, very efficient and helpful for our clients, giving them a true picture of the project.

This is a moodboard of a bedroom for an 18 year-old girl. This bedroom design is part of a foreign project for which our company Lefèvre Interiors has been commissioned to design all the rooms of this new build home.

We are in the middle of preparing the interior design of a garden pavilion for a Belgian family. This is the first mood board we created to give our clients an idea of how we do see the interior design of their newly built garden outbuilding.

Once the building materials were chosen, I started to make a mood board of the decorative wall techniques, furniture wood species and fabrics to come in.

And this is a mood board for a panelled living room. Our client is in love with the interiors of the Paris’ Haussmannian apartments and definitely wanted to see a Haussmannian style panelled living room at their home. So we started to design the plans of this panelled room together with the required mood boards.

On the mood board here below you can see more interior design details of the room. A white painted Haussmannien style panelling requires the perfect matching furniture and fabrics.

I love seeing these mood boards and cannot wait to see that Hausmannian paneling by Lefevre. I also love the martini table planned for the teen bedroom – it’s such a versatile piece with a brilliant silhouette. You have my vote, and fingers are crossed, PEARL! Can I call you Pearl, friend? Ha! It has a beautiful ring to it for sure. xox
