Christmas styling tips

Christmas is around the corner and everywhere around I do see people putting up Christmas trees and adding adornments inside as outside. Many shop windows are already adorned in a Christmas atmosphere.

In between my busy schedule at this time of the year, I try to search for inspiring Christmas decorations and styling tips.

As every year, I love to share with you, some of my favourite decorations, found around the internet.

This year I would like to start this post with a gorgeous picture of the Christmas decor at the holiday home of Belgian photographer Claude Smekens.

What is not to love here? I love everything! The beautiful decorated large Christmas tree as well as the informal decorated table setting. All styled by Claude’s wife Magda De Smet. Watch out for the upcoming Winter issue of MILIEU MAGAZINE that will feature more of Magda’s styling work (at the newsstands in December).

You needn’t always to adorn your home in een overwhelming way, sometimes a simple touch will do. Less is more.

Oh, Greet – this is THE most beautiful Christmas inspiration post I have seen. It all speaks to me, and I have just now finished perusing the issue of Milieu with Magda de Smet – and now this. It is all comforting and so naturally understated yet powerful. Nature makes no mistakes so using fresh greenery and materials of the earth can only add up to a success! I can’t wait to direct my readers here to be inspired and am now pinning away. Wishing you a heart where all is calm, and all is bright. xox

Oh wow! What a wonderful blog you have going here! I so enjoyed looking through all of your Christmas-y photos. Great collection of formal dining table setting pictures! I loved the rustic dining tables that you featured! I can’t imagine eating outside because the weather is always so cold during the holiday season where I live, but I love, Love, LOVE the table and chairs that you featured in that photo. Those furs on the seats were the icing on the cake! Beautiful, elegant, yet simple! And the use of greenery on most of the other tables was delightful to see.

I am hoping everyone here has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! It was a pleasure revisiting this blog so I could see all the wonderful Christmas decorations. What a wonderful collection of simple and elegant images. Even though I don’t have a home like any of the ones featured here, it still gave me ideas to implement into my own home this Christmas. My father gave me a beautiful Christmas wreath for my front door this year, and it’s in a diamond shape instead of the traditional circle. It reminds me of some of the decorations featured here! Perfection!
