In my previous posts I wrote about a renovation project by our company Lefèvre Interiors and shared with you before and after pictures of the living and dining area (HERE) and of the kitchen (HERE).

Today I would like to show you some pictures of the makeover of this home’s entry hall.

We wanted to create a more interesting and crisp look and we decided to go from white and bland to a pretty cool and chic combination of black and white.

All paintwork by Dankers artisan painters.

Hal 3

To add some interest to the walls, and for a more modern feel, the staircase was painted charcoal black.

The owners gave me the permission to have painted their wood side table and armchair black.

Hal 22

To give the space more depth, we removed the existing door to the kitchen and created a nice corridor towards the kitchen.

As the existing lime floor was outdated, we decided to give the floor tiles a black colour.

Hal 25

All doors are now painted in the charcoal black as is the staircase.

Hal 9

The red tone of these vases together with the red colour of the owner’s framed coat of arms watercolour paper (to see in one of the following pictures) are the only touches of vibrant colour we brought in.

Hal 24

To give the entry more personality we installed a new stair runner with a subtle pattern and texture.

Hal 10

In addition to some spot lights, the entry is now also equipped with random hanging pendants that have different drop lenghts.

Hal 29

Built-in hall closet.

Hal 6

I am in love with the Ochre horn handles, that were chosen for the closet doors.

Hal 7

Corridor to the kitchen with built-in cabinetry. The framed coat of arms adding a pop of colour to the white painted walls.

Hal 28

When you pass through the front door, you are faced with this mirror. Notice the black painted front door in the mirror.

Hal 23

This new custom framed mirror is not something you notice right away, but it opens the space and reflects the candle lights in front of it.
